Personal Injury victims of Injuries from Criminal Offences can redress their Claim for Compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. (CICA)

A Compensation Claim can be pursued through The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, regardless of whether there has been a criminal conviction. The Criminal Injuries
Compensation Authority was established in 1961 to assist victims that have been injured following criminal acts.

Time Limits
Please note that unlike the usual Time Limits to bring a claim, the Claim for Injuries from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority scheme must be presented to the Criminal Compensation Authority Board within 2 years from the Date of the Incident. A Claim raised after this period of time, will not be compensatable.
